Mobile Solutions from Elsevier
New Mobile-enabled Applications from Elsevier
We've been listening. You said you want mobile applications that are easy to use, don't require installation and put real resources at your fingertips.
You said you want applications that run on iPhones, Blackberry's, Palms, Windows and any SmartPhone that can get to the Internet. You said you don't want to give up content just because you are using a small screen.
At Elsevier, we have a series of new mobile initiatives underway that will put our content in your hands wherever you are.
MD Consult mobile, for instance, offers hundreds of concise quick reference topics and access to the full text of all our medical Reference Books, Journals, The Clinics, and Practice Guidelines from any supported mobile device. (Of course, you can always browse the full site.)
To make way for a new breed of mobile solutions, we have decided to shutdown Pocket Consult effective November 30, 2009. If you already have Pocket Consult installed on your device, you don't need to do a thing, although you will experience limited functionality.
If you have previously installed Pocket Consult on your PDA
You don't need to do a thing. Any software already installed on your PDA will continue to work, but most functionality involving websites such as MD Consult will be eliminated, specifically:
- Saved searches
- Journal Table of Contents updates
- News
- Content-clipping
If you are a current MD Consult customer, please to go www.mdconsult.com for information on MD Consult Mobile.
